The show was really Wonderful, the venue is quite small, and if you get there before 7pm everyone is gathered in the foyer which is very small who h felt a little claustrophobic untill we were allowed through into the actual theatre.

Loved it, standing ovation so well deserved
14 March 2018
An incredible performance, I enjoyed the movie but this performance was magnificent. Standing ovation from the audience so we’ll deserved. Javere deserves a special mention, outstanding. Seats in the stalls near the back , when booked we were advised there would be parts when our view of the top of stage was blocked, well that really was not a big deal, we missed the head of the student rebellion leader when he stood on top of the barricade, that’s all, don’t let that detract u from buying a seat.

Really good musical, so good you think you are in the cinema rather than a theatre! We were sat in the Upper part but the view was still fab, so do not worry about the distance. Acoustic was also fine.

We always wanted to see this wonderful musical. Absolutely beautiful. For this show to be still ongoing for twenty years in the West end, leaves nothing left to add. Beautiful only downside is the seating could do with some refurbishment. Just a little uncomfortable. Although the musical helped overcome the discomfort.

Very dramatic, very memorable. However not recommended for children under about 15. It was lost on a young boy aged about 10 in front us, who just wriggled through most of the performance.

This was absolutely the best musical I have ever appreciated. The cast was very good, the lead singer (Jean) actually brilliant. Also the performance, lighting and the set were amazing. Only negative thing was that there was no toilet paper on the mens toilet ground floor just 5 minutes before break. I would expect someone to look after the toilets. This gave the whole evening a little negative touch.

Yet again amazing! Third visit... I went when it first opened ... The only criticism is the restricted views... If you are high up in the theatre you are unable to see the front of the stage... Some of the scenes are out of view and only just... If these scenes were just a fraction back further on the stage would have been perfect. Lovely old theatre with helpful friendly staff. Don't be put off by storyline... Brilliant music with classic songs... A family favourite.

Before going to see les miserables I has been given mixed reviews from people I know so I was not sure what to expect and to be honest it was fantastic . It is my opinion that if you don't enjoy it, it's because you have not given it the interest required to understand the story. Brilliant performances by all.

A Few Weak Links
29 September 2015
The show was on the whole very good, but it was let down in my view by two characters. The young boy Gavoche, and the main part of Javert. I can't believe in this Country, there can't be first class players for all parts in this show. Indeed, if the Company went to any Youth Drama School, the young boys available would be second to none and would give their right arm for a chance to play the part. Also the guy who played Javert was awkward, and had a very average acting talent and singing voice. Such a shame to spoil what was otherwise a great cast. Epponine in particular was superb, and Jean Val Jean very good. I've seen the show 5 times now, and this was the weakest so far.

Brilliant show but be careful what seats you buy.
26 July 2015
The show is brilliant and there I no denying its worth every cent you spend on seeing this fantastic show. I have seen it many times and will see it again in Australia . But be very carful what seat you choose . For this particular show day I could only get tickets in the circle on the top balcony row A the last two seats on the edge and its the second row back . They stated that the view was obstructed and I would need to lean forward but actually if you sit in these seats you can not see the stage. If you lean forward you can see a quarter of the stage and not only did I get told by so many people behind me to sit back but also the ushers . There for I could only Liston to the show I did notice the first row was probably much better to lean forward with the balcony edge in front of you . How ever that was also ONE of the reasons I could not See the stage from my seat( people in front leaning forward ). I have sat in obstructed views before but this takes the cake it was so awful .

This show is definitely a must see whilst visiting the big city for a west end show. I've previously been to see 'Wicked', Charlie & the Chocolate Factory', 'Matilda', 'Miss Saigon' & 'Phantom of the Opera', and to say this show was the best by far is an understatement. The pure emotion of the storytelling of the actors was mesmerising and to be perfectly honest was a first class performance by all from ensemble to stage production. The stage set was also fantastic with sound and lighting effects to keep you on the edge of your seats throughout. The two main male vocalists were absolutely on point. Highly recommend this show to anyone.

At the Queen’s Theatre, the longest-running musical in the West End shows no sign of neglect. The “house full” signs were up and there was a standing ovation the night I attended… In all key respects, Trevor Nunn’s original RSC staging has stood the test of time well: the revolve whirls tirelessly, lending a cinematic fluidity to a bustling, beautifully lit spectacle which, using John Napier’s pile-it-high design and tons of dry ice, memorably evokes the 1832 Paris uprising, when the downtrodden masses (some of them) protested against the monarchy of Louis-Philippe. With its emphasis on poverty and injustice, mood of angry disillusion and yearning for redemption, it may be that the through-sung piece speaks more to our own troubled age than it did to the Eighties...
